No Lemonade on My Watch

In a new children's (and I use that term very, very loosely) book by self-described conservative parent Katharine "No Debauchery" DeBrecht, the villains are liberals that try to prevent two young, presumably brainwashed conservative, boys from opening a lemonade stand.

The liberals in Liberaland (I'm so not kidding) tax the boys profits and outlaw sugary drinks. There is even a cameo by an ACLU Lawyer that protests the picture of Jesus perched atop their stand. I personally think the best example of villainous behavior by a liberal is the part where the boys are made to give out a piece of broccoli with each glass of lemonade sold. The book apparently concludes with the bad guys commandeering the stand and selling sour lemonade to unsuspecting buyers at astronomical prices. I'll just be there are gay or lesbians lurking there somewhere as well.

Sounds like a quaint story. I didn't mention the title - Help! Mom! There are Liberals Under My Bed! DeBrecht, writing under a pen name mind you, defends her book by reminding us all that "liberals have been publishing books about homosexual kings and socialist fish for children, and there hasn't been a peep".

I'm off to buy the socialist fish book. Our daughter (shhh...she has two moms) will love it.
